Naturally Neem

neem leaves and fruit

Okay, so Neem Oil is not particularly glamorous – if truth be told it has an awful smell. That being said, Neem Oil is fantastic. Know any other oil that is healing, soothing, anti-ageing and analgesic for skin, great for teeth and hair and can also be used as a safe bug repellent in the garden and on your dog? Thought not.

Neem Oil comes from an evergreen tree that has been an Ayurvedic favourite for centuries. Also known as Indian Lilac, Neem is highly medicinal. The oil is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and loaded with nutrients and antioxidants. Fortunately, you don’t need more than a few drops diluted in a carrier oil to get the benefits of this amazing substance.

If your skin is dry, red, irritated, inflamed, acne, eczema or rosacea prone – try Neem Oil. It is also fabulous for dandruff and thinning hair. The aroma of Neem can be off-putting but adding Neroli essential oil, Pink Grapefruit oil, Jasmine or Peppermint to the mix can help to neutralise it. Neem can be found in soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and pet products. To make your own Neem magic, try these simple recipes:

Fairly certain he’s going to have a very good read. Thank you for sharing!
