To be honest, they don’t look much like Ferrero, or even come close in terms of ingredients, apart from the cocoa – but they’re not far off in taste.
Affordable, easy, yummy, and best of all, healthy. They’re clean Ferreros.
I managed to get 16 balls out of this recipe, but if you want them to last a couple of days, you could double the recipe and hide these delicious bombs away in the fridge.
The secret is for the taste of cocoa to stand out, above all the other ingredients, so I kept the percentage of any interfering tastes like peanut butter as low as possible. You could also try almond butter, coconut oil, or anything that will help keep the dough together.
You may like to add more honey, or more dates, but I preferred to keep the sugar levels – although good sugar – low.
Give it a go!
