There’s nothing quite like home-made granola. It’s fab for breakfast or any time you need something crunchy and nutty. Commercial granola is often sickeningly sweet and full of raisins, which is great if you love raisins. I don’t and I don’t like the overpowering sugar rush either. This recipe is heavy on the nuts and seeds and light on the sugar. The olive oil, salt, honey, spice and seed combo gives it a “je ne sais quoi” kind of flavour. It’s sweet but salty, spicy and ever so slightly bitter all at the same time and utterly delicious. And did I mention it was healthy too?
